Dr. Neuenschwander is an emergency physician at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is active at the Ohio State University as an Adjunct Associate Professor with resident teaching and research collaboration. Dr. Neuenschwander is the primary investigator on a number of studies and was the co-chair for the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) expert consensus panel on hyperkalemia. He was also a member of the ACEP expert consensus panel on hepatic encephalopathy.
He has played a key role in the introduction and implementation of caring for patients with pacemakers and ICDs. His research and clinical practice have helped progress patient care in the emergency department and beyond. He is board certified in addiction medicine and is part of an ongoing research and treatment project demonstrating the effectiveness of starting medications to stop opioid withdrawal.
Dr. Neuenschwander is a graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and is currently an alumni board member. He completed his residency training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1998.
