John Tully, MD, FACEP, is the Regional Vice President of the USACS South Division. Dr. Tully has been with USACS since 2015 and most recently served as System Medical Director and Chair of Emergency Medicine at Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas. In this role he led seven emergency departments and an ICU with a combined patient volume exceeding 200,000 annual visits and was active in clinician recruitment, talent development, system budgeting, and shaping hospital policies.

Prior to his role as System Medical Director and Chair of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Tully was the Medical Director at St. Luke’s Baptist Hospital where he led the development of the first TeleED program in the city of San Antonio and worked collaboratively with his colleagues in neurology and neurosurgery to develop the first Comprehensive Stroke Center in south Texas. He also founded the hospital’s Physician Leadership Council, where he currently serves as Chair.

Dr. Tully earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center and completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of Louisville.
