USACS Refer & Earn Policy Terms & Conditions

  • a) A non-USACS referring person is defined as a person who does not have a contractual relationship of any kind with USACS. A referring person is only a person who refers potential physician or NP/PA candidates to USACS; it is not in any way based upon whether or not a person refers patients or healthcare business to USACS.
  • b) If Clinical Recruiting has had a meaningful relationship with the referred clinician within 12 months prior to the referral date, the referring person is not eligible to claim the referral bonus. A meaningful relationship is defined as personal communications and/or touchpoints between the candidate and Recruiter wherein the candidate has expressed interest in the company.
  • c) Hospital partners and their employees are eligible under this program (excluding employees of hospital partners who have the ability to influence the contractual relationship with USACS).
  • d) Locum clinicians working on behalf of USACS are eligible to receive a Referral Bonus, as long as their USACS contract with the locum/placement firm does not prohibit referrals by active locum clinicians.
  • e) The referred clinician must sign a USACS Full-Time employment agreement/contract as a W2 employee or External/1099 worker, and be actively working Full-Time, for USACS at the time of payment. A referred clinician that is actively on an unpaid leave of absence, or known to be within their termination notice period, is not an eligible referred clinician under the policy.
  • f) To be eligible to receive a Referral Bonus, a referring person must notify the Clinical Recruiting team in writing prior to the referred clinician signing their contract. The Clinical Recruiting team must review and approve the referring person. Referral Bonus requests made after the referred clinician has signed their contract will be denied.
  • g) A referred clinician is still considered to be an eligible referral under this program if they transfer internally, within USACS, from one site or job to another if they continue to work a Full-Time schedule as a W2 employee or External/1099 worker.
  • h) A referred clinician part of a site/system vendor change (USACS loses the contract as the service provider) is no longer considered an eligible referral if they are no longer working for USACS at the time of the organizational announcement. In this situation, the referred clinician is only considered an eligible referral under this policy if they transfer to another position or location within USACS and continue working a Full-Time schedule as a W2 employee or External/1099 worker.
  • i) Referring people who are in their onboarding/credentialing process with USACS but have not reached their hire/first shift date, are not eligible under this policy and would instead be eligible under the internally-facing Clinical Referral Bonus Policy.
  • j) Immediate family members of USACS Site Directors (including but not limited to: Assistant/Associate/Interim Medical Directors, Medical Directors, Ultrasound Directors, EMS Directors, Quality Directors, Fellowship Director, etc.) are eligible to receive a Referral Bonus under this policy, only if the referred clinician is hired at a different site, to a regional travel position outside of the USACS Site Director’s region, or to a divisional travel position outside of the USACS Site Director’s division. The aforementioned group is eligible for referrals made to national travel positions, including for example STAT, as long as the referred clinician will not work at the USACS Director’s site, system, or within their region.
  • k) Immediate family members of USACS System Directors (including any specialty titles) are eligible to receive a Referral Bonus under this policy, only if the referred clinician is hired at another health system. Immediate family members of USACS System Directors are eligible for referrals made to national travel positions, including for example STAT, as long as the referred clinician will not work at the USACS System Director’s site, system, or within their region.
  • l) The recipient of a referred clinician is not eligible to receive a Referral Bonus under this or any other referral bonus policy by forwarding a received referral to another USACS site/leader/system/etc. In this case the original referring person, not the person who forwarded the referral, is eligible to receive the Referral Bonus.
  • m) Immediate family members of MSO employees are eligible, up to and including the VP level (SLT) for the clinical Referral Bonus under this policy. Immediate family members of MSO SVP and ELT employees are not eligible to receive a Referral Bonus under this policy.
  • n) Immediate family members of current Clinical Recruiters are not eligible to receive a Referral Bonus under this policy. Clinical Recruiters, who have left the employment of USACS, (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to receive a Referral Bonus under this policy for a period of six (6) months following their termination date.
  • o) Regardless of the circumstance, referring people are only ever eligible for a single USACS Referral Bonus policy.
  • p) Immediate family members of USACS Regional Directors, National Directors, Directors of Advanced Practice, Clinical RVPs, and above, are not eligible to receive a Referral Bonus under this policy.
  • q) To be an eligible referral under this policy, the referred clinician must acknowledge and agree that the referring person is the source of hire. They also must sign an employment agreement/contract within a 6-month period of the initial referral date. Referred clinicians who sign a contract greater than six (6) months after the initial referral date are no longer eligible referrals under this policy. Therefore, the referring person would not be eligible to receive a referral bonus.
