US Acute Care Solutions (USACS) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Sharon Regional Health System in Sharon, Pennsylvania, to provide Integrated Acute Care (IAC) services. USACS' unique model of Integrated Acute Care brings emergency and hospital medicine providers together as one team with one purpose: seamless, quality patient care across the entire acute care episode. The new partnership will begin October 2, 2017.

USACS has been providing emergency medicine management services to Sharon Regional since April 2011. The new partnership extends the strong relationship to cover hospitalist services, pulmonary and critical care.

"Our innovative approach to Integrated Acute Care has consistently led to improved patient throughput, decreased cost of care, and improved quality metrics," said Dr. George Mitri, USACS Chief Medical Officer for Integrated Acute Care. "We look forward to working with Sharon Regional as a unified team to improve patient care across the board."

The USACS model of Integrated Acute Care builds on USACS' commitment to physician ownership by creating a single, accountable team of physician leaders responsible for continual improvement of patient care throughout the patient's stay, from entrance into the Emergency Department until discharge, and even beyond. The model has led to dramatic improvements in key quality metrics, particularly those that are signifiers of a hospital's preparedness for the future of healthcare.

Sharon Regional chose USACS both because of its long-standing performance in the Emergency Department, as well as its desire to have a single, accountable partner across the entire care continuum.

On behalf of the medical staff of Sharon Regional, we are pleased to expand our partnership with USACS through the addition of both Hospitalist and Critical Care Services through our existing Emergency Care provider agreement. This integrated delivery of care model will provide incremental operational efficiencies to help control costs and will ultimately provide our patients with an enhanced patient experience. We extend a warm welcome to USACS Hospitalists and Critical Care Physicians and Providers.
