Dr. Timothy Hall and Mary Beth Weaver, PA-C, have been named Top Clinicians for Mecklenburg. Dr. Hall is Chairman at Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte and a staff physician at Carolinas HealthCare System University. Weaver is an advanced practice provider at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
The award is presented to the physician and APP who demonstrate, not only exceptional patient care, but also have repeatedly gone above and beyond the call to improve the Mecklenburg.
Dr. Edward McCutcheon, ED Medical Director at Carolinas HealthCare System University, commented, "Dr. Tim Hall is the model physician and leader we should all emulate. He is consistently in the upper tier for productivity and patient satisfaction. He is always the first to volunteer to help his partners out when a shift needs covered. He even surprisingly shows up in the ED at any of our sites to assist our new providers when they start."
"Dr. Hall is an integral part of our leadership's success within CHS as he tirelessly serves on hospital and system wide committees to ensure we have the best prepresentation for USACS. A very well deserved award to one of the nicest guys I've personally been fortunate to work with over the past 15 years," Dr. McCutcheon concluded.
Dr. Allin Vesa, ED Medical Director at Iredell Memorial Hospital, said "Mary Beth Weaver is a true role model for our APP program at Iredell. Not only has she demonstrated clinical excellence, but she has also consistently performed in the top tiers for productivity and patient satisfaction. She demonstrates compassion and a solid work ethic, while bringing laughter and positivity to our ED. My overall impression: 'Attitude gives altitude!'"
Dr. Hall is no stranger to receiving awards. In 2015, he was named to the list of five top Emergency Medicine Docs by Charlotte Magazine. He has been in Charlotte for several years. He completed his Chemistry BS and medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then trained in emergency medicine in Charlotte and has practiced in the Charlotte area ever since.
Dr. Hall is the Chairman at Carolinas HealthCare System University where he served as ED Medical Director from 1996 to 2011 and as past President of the medical staff. He remains active in practice on the CHS University and CHS system-wide and USACS committees to improve the physician experience and patient outcomes.
Weaver completed her undergraduate studies at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC. She completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University in Wingate, NC. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
"I am overwhelmed by the kind things people have said since I've been given this award," said Weaver. It has encouraged me to work harder and be more of an advocate for my patients."
